Oct 26, 2024- The Art of the Crit
At October’s monthly meeting, our special program will be all about the basics of giving and getting critique, and why it’s essential. Then, we’ll put it all into practice as a group before we break into smaller cohorts. Everyone is encouraged to bring an unfinished piece/ work in progress for feedback.

Sept 28, 2024- Digital Jumpstart: Procreate for Artists
Veramis (aka “Vera”, she/her) will introduce you to the basics of digital art, showing how digital tools can elevate and expand your creative process. Veramis will share her journey into digital painting and what inspired her to explore this new medium. You’ll learn about her main techniques in Procreate, including how to scan your artwork, set up a digital canvas, make
your own choice on digital brushes, and see the different outcomes that your art can have by using a painting app. Although you won’t be creating art during the workshop, you’ll leave inspired and ready to explore digital art on your own. This session is approachable and perfect for beginners who are new to digital apps.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER: Veramis Spaziani is a Latina Mixed-media artist based in Edmonds, WA. She specializes in creating portrait art through evocative color palettes. Influenced by the changing seasons and her tropical Latin roots, her artwork captures the vibrant essence of her cultural heritage. Fruits and flowers, prominently featured in her pieces, symbolize her connection to nature. Veramis’ art beautifully blends traditional and digital mediums. She often starts with a handmade piece and finishes it in the digital space, creating unique, mixed-media artworks.
