2027 Pacific Northwest Plein Air in the Columbia River Gorge

April 26–29, 2027

Hosted by Maryhill Museum of Art

Come and paint the green hills and wildflowers of the Columbia River Gorge. The museum will be exhibiting plein air works from May 2–May 31, 2027 (Memorial Day).

Begins: Friday, October 9, 2026

Closes: Monday, December 14, 2026, at midnight

Notification of artists (by email from Online Juried Shows): The week of January 4, 2027.

ACCEPTED ARTISTS

· Paint dates: Monday, April 26, through Thursday, April 29, 4:00 p.m. deadline.

·First day meet and greet: Monday, April 26, 8:00 a.m., on the Hood River waterfront.

·Drop Off Work: Thursday, April 29, 4:00 p.m. Work should be dropped off in the Mary & Bruce Stevenson Wing at Maryhill Museum of Art. A map will be provided.

Showcase 2027

The Showcase 2027 program features local and regional artists in Northwind Art’s Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water Street, Port Townsend. During the year, the program will gather approximately 36 artists in three cohorts, each of which will show across three separate periods: January 28 – May 10, May 13 – September 6, and September 9 – January 3, 2028. The application period will close on November 12, 2026. All artists will be notified by December 5, 2026 with an acceptance or denial letter sent to the email associated with their CaFE account.

The application deadline for Showcase 2027 is 11/12/26 at 11:59pm PDT

Showcase jurors will be judging the quality, professionalism, and sales potential of the work. The selection panel will also look for a cohesive body of work from each artist. Final artist selections will reflect a variety of media, techniques, and styles. The works submitted for review can be examples of former artwork, but must demonstrate the style of work that would be exhibited in Showcase 2027.

In an effort to encourage and promote the sale of art exhibited in the Showcase gallery, the selection panel will pay particular attention to sizing and the retail pricing of artworks, with the goal of selecting artists whose work is generally under the $1,000 retail price point. Three-Dimensional Art
We’re looking for 3-D/sculptural pieces to display in our shop windows. This is an open call; we are happy to review images of your work for consideration on an ongoing basis. View our online prospectus.

We’re always looking for local artists and artisans to exhibit their fine art and artisan gifts. Send us your contact information and a link to your artist’s website (or 5–8 digital images of your work); we’ll review your art and get back to you.

Schack Art Center is seeking artists to submit 3D artwork for our annual juried Holiday Exhibition. We are looking for pedestal, floor, or case displayable (not wall-hung) works in glass, ceramics, wood, jewelry, or other sculpture, handmade gift items and more, both non-holiday and holiday themed. These 3D works will accompany our featured wall exhibition by Women Painters of Washington.
